• Before every storm, please help protect our community by taking the following steps:
• Secure or bring indoors all patio furniture, decorations, potted plants, umbrellas, and other loose outdoor items.
• Complete your home's hurricane protection by installing or closing hurricane shutters, accordion shutters, or ensuring all impact-rated windows and doors are securely closed and locked, as applicable.
• Follow all Association communications regarding hurricane preparations, gate access, and post-storm re-entry.
• Report damage to common areas to Property Management once conditions are safe.
• Always follow evacuation orders and instructions from local authorities.

Hurricane Preparation Timeline

Five Days Before

• Begin monitoring weather forecasts.
• Review your family emergency plan.
• Check your hurricane supplies.
• Refill prescription medications.
• Review your insurance coverage.

Three Days Before

• Purchase food, water, batteries, and fuel.
• Charge phones and portable power banks.
• Withdraw cash if needed.
• Fill your vehicle with fuel.
• Secure important documents.

Two Days Before

• Complete your home's hurricane protection.
• Bring loose outdoor items indoors.
• Charge electronic devices.
• Freeze containers of water to help keep food cold if power is lost.

One Day Before

• Finish all outdoor preparations.
• Place important documents in a waterproof container.
• Continue monitoring official updates.
• Evacuate immediately if ordered by local authorities.

During the Storm

• Stay indoors and away from windows.
• Do not go outside during the eye of the storm.
• Use flashlights instead of candles.
• Continue monitoring official emergency updates.

After the Storm

• Watch for downed power lines and other hazards.
• Avoid standing water.
• Photograph property damage before making temporary repairs.
• Report common area damage to Property Management.
• Contact your insurance company as soon as possible.

Hurricane Watches & Warnings

• Tropical Storm Watch: Tropical storm conditions are possible within 48 hours.
• Tropical Storm Warning: Tropical storm conditions are expected within 36 hours.
• Hurricane Watch: Hurricane conditions are possible within 48 hours.
• Hurricane Warning: Hurricane conditions are expected within 36 hours. Complete all preparations immediately.

Emergency Supply Checklist

Make sure your emergency kit includes enough supplies for at least 72 hours.
